Forum participation is by invitation only. It is restricted to government representatives and selected invitees. Registration is mandatory. If you wish to participate, please send an email to gfke@oecd.org
The Global Forum is open to invited participants from OECD member countries and invited partners from outside the OECD membership, including, but not limited to, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, the Russian Federation and South Africa, as well as from the business sector, academia and other stakeholders. The Forum is intended to be highly interactive, primarily based on panel discussions, and will provide ample room for networking and interaction among participants.
Please consult the Korean Embassy of your country if you are required to have a visa prior to your arrival in Seoul. Please note that the OECD cannot organise a visa on your behalf and that there are long deadlines to get visas in some countries. A personalised invitation letter can be provided for the purpose of getting a visa if necessary. Please contact gfke@oecd.org. Information concerning visa requirements can be found at: http://www.mofat.go.kr/english/visa/apply/index.jsp
Participants will be responsible for making their own travel and hotel bookings.
Bus (KAL Limousine Bus)
The KAL Limousine Bus is the most convenient way to travel from the Incheon airport to the venue. You need to purchase bus tickets at the Transportation Information Counter on the arrival floor of passenger terminal and take the “Route 3A” going to Gangnam area. The fare is KRW 15,000. For more information, please visit the website: http://www.kallimousine.com/eng/schedule_en.asp
* Route 3A (Gangnam Area): Airport – Palace hotel – Ritz Carlton hotel – Novotel – Renaissance hotel
Taxi
In Korea, there are three types of taxis: standard, deluxe and jumbo deluxe taxi. Standard and deluxe taxis carry up to four passengers, and the jumbo deluxe taxi takes up to eight passengers. The fare of a deluxe taxi is about 50% higher than that of a standard taxi.
At the airport, taxi stands are located in front of the passenger terminal (Platform 6C for standard taxi, platform 8C for deluxe taxi). The approximate fare for a standard taxi from the airport to the venue is KRW 80,000. The expressway toll (KRW 7,400) is not included. The estimated fare is based on no traffic congestion, so the actual amount may vary.
Hotels
Hotel bookings should be made directly with the hotels. To check-in at the hotel, show your passport to the hotel staff and mention that you are an 2012 GFKE Participants.
