The General Conference is one of the services provided by the IMHE Programme for its members and is therefore intended primarily for representatives of these institutions. Member institutions and organisations may send as many representatives as they wish. There is a reduced registration fee of 300€ for each member participant.

National authorities and international organisations will also be invited to send representatives.

In addition, places will be available to representatives from non-member institutions. These will be allocated in the order in which payments of the registration fees are received. Payment will be returned immediately in case the participant cannot be accommodated due to space limitation. To apply, please use the online registration, before the 1 September 2008. The Secretariat will confirm the applications accepted upon receipt of registration forms.


Participation fee

  • IMHE members 300€/person
  • non-members 700€/person

This fee includes lunches, refreshments, a reception on Monday the 8th of September, and conference material.

Should registered participants be obliged to cancel their participation after paying their fees, the amount paid will be reimbursed, provided the Secretariat is notified before 15 August 2008. Cancellations will be subject to a handling fee of € 50. However, you may be replaced by someone from your institution, if so, please inform the Secretariat. After this date, there will be no reimbursement. Notification of cancellation should be made as soon as possible, so that the place can be made available for others.



The General Conference buffet dinner to be held on Tuesday 9 September 2008 at the Paris Descartes University with an optional visit of the History of Medecine museum is €45.




Registration for the conference can be done by registering on line or by fax/email.
When your registration is received – you will be sent an invoice by email for payment.
Payment can be made by Credit Card, Bank Transfer or Cheque.
