Andrew Parkin

 

Dr. Andrew Parkin is the Associate Executive Director of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation.  In that capacity, he directs the Foundation’s research and program development section.  The Foundation provides approximately $350 million in financial assistance each year to post-secondary students across Canada.  It also conducts research on the various barriers to post-secondary education and the impact of policies designed to alleviate them.  A political scientist by training, Andrew Parkin has written extensively about Canadian politics and society in both the academic and popular press.  From 2000 to 2004, he served as research director and subsequently co-director at the Centre of Research and Information on Canada (CRIC), where he oversaw an extensive series of studies of Canadian public opinion and political institutions
