Pilar Paneque

 

 

Pilar Paneque is Director of  International Campus of Excellence in Environment, Biodiversity and Global Change (CEI CamBio) which is co-ordinated by the University Pablo de Olavide with the participation of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the University of Almería, the University of Cádiz, the University of Córdoba, the University of Huelva, and the International University of Andalusia. She is the Professor of Human Geography at the University Pablo de Olavide (Seville). Her research focuses on water policy, water institutions and hydrological risks in Mediterranean areas. She is the principal investigator of a research project on drought management in Morocco and Andalusia. She has also works as a team researcher in the European projects Integrated Evaluation for Sustainable River Basin Governance and Societal and Institutional Responses to Climate Change and Climate. She is member of the ‘New Water Culture Foundation’ and the International Water Resources Association.
