The OECD is delighted to host the 2011 Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE), in partnership with the World Bank and the Government of France.

OECD Secretary General Angel Gurría, Nobel Prize winner Amartya Sen (Harvard University), World Bank Chief Economist Justin Yifu Lin and other leading academics and experts debated such issues as measuring inequality of opportunities, structural transformation, employment creation and labour regulation, gender equity and human capital formation, training and youth.
