By exploring the practices of leading firms, it provides first-hand knowledge of the ways intellectual assets contribute to business performance, effective means of managing intellectual assets to extract value, and the role of governments in encouraging good practice. The Forum is expected to contribute to future OECD work in Value Creation and Intellectual Assets, as well as to the work on IPR, Innovation and Diffusion of Knowledge .
Participants: Participation by invitation only. The Forum brought together approximately 80 participants from industry, government and academia. It included delegates to CIBE and CSTP, as well as business executives, IP managers, consultants and academic experts in intellectual assets management.
