Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Bogota, Colombia, on 24-25 October 2019 on an official visit.
The Secretary-General met with Mr. Iván Duque, President of Colombia and Mrs. Marta Lucía Ramírez, Vice-President of Colombia.
He presented the 2019 OECD Economic Survey of Colombia and delivered remarks at the International Conference Metrics that Make a Difference: Policy Uses of Well-being and Sustainable Development Indicators in Latin America and the Caribbean-LAC, co-organised by the OECD, UN ECLAC, the European Commission, DANE, DNP and the Universidad del Rosario.
Mr. Angel Gurría delivered remarks at the Third session of the high-level Inter-institutional Commission for OECD Matters, at the OECD Emerging Markets Network (EMnet) event with the private sector, as well as at the LACRP’s Third Ministerial Summit on Productivity: Harnessing the Digital Transformation to boost Productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean, during which he also presented the Going Digital Report of Colombia.
The Secretary-General spoke at an Official Dinner hosted by President Duque.
In Bogota, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with several high-level authorities attending the various events. In addition, he gave several interviews to the media.
