Forum 2014, entitled Resilient Economies for Inclusive Societies, will be organised around three cross-cutting themes: Inclusive Growth, Jobs, and Trust, exploring the multifaceted nature of resilience and how to now “bounce forward” in addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.
This forum will focus on the role of regulatory reform for ASEAN connectivity and economic integration. High-level speakers from Southeast Asia and OECD countries will discuss the linkages between regulatory reform, trade and investment.

At this workshop, delegates and experts discussed best practice implementation of the 2012 Recommendation on Regulatory Policy and Governance, and how to benchmark progress over time.
The OECD and the Scrutiny Committee on Law Implementation of the French Senate co-organised a conference on 5 December 2013 on “Law evaluation and better regulation: the role for parliaments” at the Luxembourg Palace in Paris.
The OECD and the Municipality of San Luis Potosí in Mexico launched a programme to improve municipal formalities according to the OECD Guide.
The OECD, in co-ordination with Mexico's Ministry of Economy and COFEMER, organised a workshop to train federal officials to understake competition assessment as part of the RIA framework.
This workshop served to discuss how benchmarking and measuring regulatory performance can help advance a regulatory policy at the sub-national level.
The OECD organises annual expert workshops on topics related to measuring regulatory performance. Past meetings have focussed on best practice in implementing the 2012 OECD Recommendation, on measuring compliance costs, on developing a measurement framework for regulatory performance, on the use of perception surveys and on indicators of Regulatory Management Systems.
