After the severe financial crisis of 1997-98, South Korea underwent numerous changes to address its structural weaknesses and widening disparities between regions and promote regional innovation. South Korea's rapid recovery and its future territorial development path makes this study an insightful study for other Asian countries as well as OECD member countries.
