    Review: ACTORS Italy - Cultural Attractors for Tourism and Employment in Southern Italian Regions

    The OECD LEED Trento Centre in agreement with the Italian Government, is assisting the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Tourism (MIBACT) in the promotion and support of social and economic development activities in Southern Italian Regions (Calabria, Campania, Apulia and Sicily) through the valorisation of their cultural, natural and landscape attractions.

    Job Creation and Local Economic Development

    This publication highlights new evidence on policies to support job creation, bringing together the latest research on labour market, entrepreneurship and local economic development policy to help governments support job creation in the recovery. It  also includes  a set of country pages featuring, among other things, new data on skills supply and demand at the level of smaller OECD regions (TL3).

    This publication is the first in a series to take this integrative approach, and it is designed to be user friendly and accessible to all government officials, academics, practitioners and civil society with an interest in local economic development and job creation.

    Capacity building seminar: Promoting entrepreneurial education in schools (Potsdam, Germany)

    The seminar contributed to the development of a tool that should allow schools to map the perceptions of learners, teachers, parents, and partner organisations as they relate to the entrepreneurial education opportunities (courses, extra-curricular work), resources and support available to teachers.

    Capacity building seminar: Strengthening agricultural co-operatives in Kazakhstan (Trento, Italy)

    The aim of this seminar was to build institutional capacities and transfer methodologies to Kazakh policy makers in areas that will help improve the country’s agricultural competitiveness and support the development of small-scale production. It drew upon on OECD know-how and the Trento experience in agricultural cooperatives.

    Inclusive Entrepreneurship in Europe: Policy briefs

    A series of short reports aimed at policy makers examine issues and policies instruments related to inclusive entrepreneurs policy. The key message of these briefs is that there is under-exploited potential among entrepreneurs from non-mainstream groups and that there are many examples of specially tailored policies that are successful in increasing participation that can serve as models for others.
