The Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with the University of Trento and the financial newspaper Il sole 24 Ore has, over the past six years, organised the Festival of Economics which has become a very important international event.
This sixth edition of the Festival tried to enable everyone to form an opinion on the complex questions that define the new borders of free private initiative that are being put in place in various parts of the planet.

New scenarios for development in OECD countries see the emergence of a demand for cooperation between business, trade unions and institutions. To what extent, the business risk can be shared with the workers? How do you redefine the role of trade unions in the economy of small business and territories? What is the role of politics and policies? Issues to be addressed concerned the need to experiment new forms of relationships and partnerships between the world of politics, business and labour.
