The Advisory Unit recently travelled to the United States and Canada seeking advice and know-how from experts from several think tanks and International Organisations. The information gathered during this week of talks is being used to update the PDG core documents and operational model.

Forty-one international representatives met in Paris to discuss the mandate of the PDG, its objectives and principles of action, its programme of work, and considered possible areas of PDG-supported field-level initiatives.

Jerzy Pomianowski, the new head of the PDG Advisory Unit, took up duty alongside 2 technical advisers and 2 administrative staff in April 2008. Three other technical advisers will join the unit by mid-June 2008.
