Competition Forums

The OECD Global Forum on Competition (GFC) is intended to deepen policy dialogue with non-Members by debating issues which are truly global. The Forum was launched in 2001. It brings together high-level competition officials from around the world on an annual basis. In addition to the 30 OECD Member Countries and the Commission of the European Community, the GFC is attended by Designated Participants from 58 countries and 15 organisations: representatives of international/regional organisations as well as from the business community and consumers. Other countries/organisations interested on participating may also be invited on an Ad Hoc basis by the Competition Committee.

The Latin American Competition Forum (LACF) promotes dialogue, consensus building and networking in the region. The LACF was launched in 2003 and meets on an annual basis. Participants are senior officials of Latin American competition institutions. Competition experts from some OECD countries and international organisations also attend to provide additional perspectives and experience.
