Areas of Work

Within the framework of the SWAC’s Work Plan 2005-2007, the Sahel and West Africa Club (SWAC) focuses its efforts around the following four areas of concentration:

Medium-and Long-Term Development Perspectives

West Africa is a region in the midst of great transformations post-independence. As a response to the demographic, socio-economic and political challenges, the "Development Perspectives" Unit seeks to accompany the process of regional integration with a better understanding of West Africa and with a mobilisation of West Africans in the service of a dynamic vision for the region looking forward to 2025.
