Sector Competitiveness Project in the Western Balkans

A European Commission-funded project, Defining and Strengthening Sector Specific Sources of Competitiveness is one of several implementation support projects of the Investment Compact for South East Europe, and examines the potential sources of and obstacles to competitiveness in the Western Balkans. Implementation Support for Signatories of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA 2006)

Since January 2009, the OECD Investment Compact for South East Europe lends implementation support to Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA 2006) signatories through two separate projects:

The CEFTA Aid for Trade project: Overcoming Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs), and the project Supporting CEFTA Structures with the Monitoring and Implementation of Investment-related clauses. [more]

 

Strengthening Development and Implementation of Investment and Trade Policy in the Western Balkans (SEEStat Project)

Funded by the 2003 CARDS Programme, this project coaches countries on improving the quality of their investment statistics and involves conducting case study examples of evaluating the impact of FDI and trade. [more]
