Investment Policy

The Working Group on Investment Policy and Promotion helps MENA countries develop open and transparent investment policies through multi-stakeholder dialogue, experience-sharing and capacity-building in the region, with the support of OECD countries and other partners.

It brings together MENA and OECD countries, the private sector, civil society and other partners to work towards the following priorities:

  • developing regional guidelines on Free Economic Zones
  • developing and supporting the OECD Business Climate Development Strategy
  • adapting the OECD Principles for Private Sector Participation in Infrastructure to the MENA region

Important partner organisations include the World Bank, WAIPA, UNIDO, Arab League, ANIMA, Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation, and the Union of Arab Banks.
