Presidency & Secretariat
The Presidency is a one-year position held by a senior official from an FATF jurisdiction. Since June 2009, the FATF President is Mr. Paul Vlaanderen of the Netherlands.
Mr. Luis Urrutia Corral of Mexico has been nominated the FATF Vice-President. He will be the FATF President in June 2010.
The FATF Secretariat supports the Task Force, President and Vice-President. The Secretariat is housed at the OECD headquarters in Paris.

FATF President Paul Vlaanderen highlights the importance of the Consultative Forum, a valuable mechanism to pursue a further strengthening of the exchange of information and views between the FATF and private sector bodies across the globe. Mr Vlaanderen addressed the FATF Consultative Forum in London on 30 September.

The FATF President, Mr. Antonio Gustavo Rodrigues, stressed the fact that money laundering and terrorist financing techniques evolve quickly, require vigilance and an approach from a global perspective. Mr. Vasil Kirov, Moneyval Chairman, noted in his speech that the typologies effort broadens our knowledge and better equips us to fight money laundering and financing of terrorism. In his speech, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco highlights the importance of co-operation between members to exchange experiences, best practices and to ensure a harmonised approach to the problems faced.
