Mr. Tore ERIKSEN
Mr. Eriksen was born in Fredrikstad, Norway, on May 12 1947. He graduated in 1975 with a Masters in Economics from the University of Oslo where he was a teacher and research assistant from 1974 to 1978.
In 1978, he entered the Ministry of Finance where he held various positions from 1978 to 1993 and from 1996 to 2011. He was in particular Director General in the Tax Policy Department from 1991 to 1993 and Director General in the Economic Policy Department from 1996 to 1998.
From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Eriksen was Director General and Advisor for economic policy for Norwegian Prime Minister Ms. Gro Harlem Brundtland.
From 1999 until his nomination as Permanent Representative of Norway to the OECD, he was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance.
Ambassador Tore Eriksen took up his duties as Permanent Representative of Norway to the OECD on 7 September 2011.
