26/06/13-The OECD’s latest Economic Survey of Austria, to be published on Tuesday 2 July 2013, assesses how the country can maintain its strong economic performance while addressing demographic challenges, environmental sustainability and changes in the global economy. The Survey also looks at Austria’s continuing efforts to manage the synergies and trade-offs between economic growth, well-being and the need to maintain healthy public finances.
The Survey will be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 11:15 a.m. local time for immediate release.
An Overview with the main conclusions will be freely accessible in pdf format on the OECD’s web site at www.oecd.org/eco/surveys/austria-2013.htm. You are invited to include this Internet link in reports on the Survey.
OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria will present the report to Austrian Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann during a news conference in Vienna on 2 July starting at 11:15 a.m. local time. The event will take place at the Federal Chancellery (Ballhausplatz 2, 1010 Vienna).
