18/05/2007 - The OECD will release three chapters in English from its forthcoming Financial Market Trends No. 92 on the OECD's password-protected website at 11.00 a.m. Paris time (9 a.m. GMT) on Monday 21 May for immediate release.
These will cover:
An overview of recent trends in financial markets;
The private equity boom – causes and policy issues;
An overview of hedge funds and structured products – issues in leverage and risk.
The chapters on the rise of private equity and hedge funds are the first in a series of reports that the OECD will publish on these sectors in the coming months.
The remaining chapters on other issues of Financial Market Trends will be published in the coming weeks.
Journalists in Asia/Pacific time zones will be allowed advance access, on request, to an electronic version of the report by e-mail under embargo 12 hours ahead of release time.
