OECD annual inflation picks up to 2.5% in April 2019, driven by higher energy prices

06/06/2019 - Annual inflation in the OECD area picked up to 2.5% in April 2019, compared with 2.3% in March, as energy prices increased by 3.8%, compared with 2.7% in March. Inflation excluding food and energy also picked-up marginally to 2.2%, compared with 2.1% in March 2019, while food price inflation slowed slightly to 2.3%, compared with 2.4% in March.
