OECD annual inflation eases slightly to 1.7% in September 2014

04/11/2014 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 1.7% in the year to September 2014, compared with 1.8% in the year to August 2014. Energy prices fell by 0.1% in the year to September compared with an increase of 0.7% in the year to August while food price inflation picked up to 2.6% in the year to September, compared with 2.2% in the year to August. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate slowed to 1.8% in the year to September compared with 1.9% in the year to August.
