25/03/2013 - The OECD’s annual Global Development Forum will focus on ways to reduce poverty and promote social cohesion.
OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría, with Olusengun Obasanjo, the former President of Nigeria, will open the Forum at 13:00 on Thursday 4 April. They will be joined by the Chair of the Development Assistance Committeee, Eric Solheim.
Government ministers, representatives from development agencies , civil society and academia from developed and developing economies will offer new approaches to fostering sustainable economic growth and human well-being. Join the discussion: http://www.oecd.org/site/oecdgfd/discuss.htm.
Forum discussions will be backed by the latest Offical Development Assistance figures – showing both total aid and national efforts for 2012 – which will be released on Wednesday 3 April.
