New working papers assess the private sector’s role in adaptation to climate change and lessons learned from monitoring and evaluation of development co-operation agency adaptation projects

Private Sector Engagement in Adaptation to Climate Change: Approaches to Managing Climate Risks analyses how businesses are managing their climate vulnerabilities, new business opportunities arising due to climate change, factors which affect companies’ engagement, and ways in which governments can encourage adaptation. Monitoring and Evaluation for Adaptation: Lessons from Development Co-operation Agencies assesses frameworks used by development co-operation agencies to monitor and evaluate their adaptation initiatives, and shares lessons learned on the choice and use of indicators.

Les liens sont fournis dans le but d'aider à éviter les redondances entre les programmes nationaux / régionaux dans le domaine de l'évaluation des produits chimiques.

Environment : L’aide liée au changement climatique a atteint 22.9 milliards USD en 2010, indique le Secrétaire général de l'OCDE

De nouvelles données montrent qu’en 2010, les pays membres du Comité d’Aide au Développement (CAD) de l'OCDE ont alloué 22.9 milliards USD à des activités d’atténuation et d’adaptation au changement climatique dans les pays en développement, soit 15 % du total de l’Aide Publique au Développement (APD).

Global Forum on Environment Event / Climate Change Expert Group Seminar (19-20 September, Paris)

This Global on Environment/CCXG seminar brought together experts from a wide range of countries and organisations to discuss issues related to carbon markets and measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of climate change actions and finance. The seminar focussed on four specific topics of relevance to the ongoing climate change negotiations: (i) international assessment and review (IAR) and international consultations and analysis (ICA); (ii) setting baselines; (iii) MRV of finance; and (iv) managing greenhouse gas units from multiple market mechanisms.

OECD/EAP Task Force Contributes to the 7th "Environment for Europe" Ministerial Conference

Annual Meeting of the Task Force for the Implementation of the Environmental Action Plan (EAP), Almaty

Annual Meeting of the EECCA Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network (REPIN) held on 8-9 November 2010 in Riga

The annual REPIN meeting was organised by the OECD/EAP Task Force Secretariat and hosted by the State Environmental Service of Latvia on 8-9 November 2010 in Riga. The meeting was attended by government officials and experts from most of the EECCA countries as well as from Estonia, Latvia and Poland. Representatives of the European Commission, the Regional Environmental Centres (RECs) of Russia and the Caucasus, as well as the Working Group of Environmental Auditing under the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the NGO community were also present.

Regional Meeting on Private Sector Participation in water and sanitation in EECCA – Recent Experience and the Way Forward

OECD participates in COP15 Copenhagen UN Climate Change Talks
