The report builds on the analysis of environmental financing in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) prepared within the framework of the “Environment for Europe” ministerial conferences. It provides a comprehensive picture of financial flows for the improvement of the environmental conditions in the EECCA region based upon the assessment of domestic environmental expenditure as well as donors’ assistance and lending from International Financial Institutions (IFIs).

Ce rapport, qui comprend 51 recommandations précises, met à profit une collaboration engagée depuis plus de dix ans avec la Chine ; il a été réalisé selon la méthodologie adoptée pour l’examen environnemental de tous les pays de l’OCDE.

This report presents a summary of the discussions at, and the outcomes from, the OECD workshop on Pesticide User Compliance Issues. The workshop was held in Ottawa, from 6-8 June 2006 and was hosted by Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). The focus of the workshop was on issues and impediments to compliance associated with pesticide use. Such issues were addressed in the context of reducing risks to human health and the environment as well as risks to the integrity of the regulatory process. In response to a questionnaire on minor uses fifteen countries and the European Commission responded. They include Australia, Canada, Estonia , European Commission, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Republic of Korea, Slovakia, Switzerland, UK, and the US. The report is a collation of various aspects such as responsible regulatory authorities/agencies, data requirements, activities being pursued and regulatory mechanisms for approving minor uses in member countries. The OECD/DAC Network on Environment and Development Co-operation and the Poverty-Environment Partnership Network are tracking their members’ country-level activities related to environment and development. The main objectives of this survey are to provide an overview of “who is doing what and where”, and to facilitate collaboration between agencies. The Survey is updated regularly, and this version includes responses received by March 2008.
