L'OCDE publie un rapport sur la mise en oeuvre des Principes directeurs à l'intention des entreprises multinationales

Les gouvernements adhérents se sont engagés à promouvoir l'application des Principes directeurs et à faire en sorte qu’ils influent sur le comportement des entreprises qui exercent des activités sur leur territoire ou à partir de celui-ci. Le présent rapport décrit les mesures prises par les gouvernements au cours de la période juin 2006 et juin 2007.

L’Égypte signe la Déclaration de l’OCDE sur l’investissement international et les entreprises multinationales

Le 11 juillet 2007, l’Égypte a été le 40ème pays à signer la Déclaration de l’OCDE sur l’investissement international et les entreprises multinationales. Cette décision marque une nouvelle étape dans l’action menée par l’Égypte pour attirer davantage d’investissements directs étrangers (IDE). Entre 2001 et 2006, à la faveur d’une série de réformes des politiques, le volume de l’IDE en Égypte a été multiplié par quinze. L’IDE a atteint 9 milliards USD pour les trois premiers trimestres de l’année fiscale 2007, par rapport à 6.1 milliards USD pour toute l’année de 2006.

Etude sur les "Pôles de compétitivité et entrepreneuriat"

Le Programme LEED a soumis en juin dernier le rapport "Pôles de compétitivité et entrepreneuriat: Comparaisons internationales" au Ministre des PME. Cette étude a été menée en collaboration avec la DCASPL du gouvernement français. Le rapport tire de conclusions et recommandations sur les adaptations pour améliorer l'impact des politiques publiques en matière de soutien aux pôles et à l'entrepreneuriat.  Le rapport a été rédigé sur la base d'une étude approfondie du pôle grenoblois et six autres pôles internationaux.

G8 calls on OECD to lead work on freedom of investment, investment environment and corporate responsibility

The G8 Summit Declaration of 7 June 2007 called for continuation of the OECD Investment Committee's project on Freedom of Investment, National Security and "Strategic" Industries, additional non-member adherences to the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises, active use of the Policy Framework for Investment in developing countries, effective implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and wider dissemination of the OECD Risk Awareness Tool for Multinational Enterprises in Weak Governance Zones.

OECD examines the role of hedge funds and private equity firms in corporate governance

The OECD Steering Group has concluded that “activist” hedge funds and private equity firms can play a positive role in corporate governance of publicly held companies and that specific issues are best addressed within the framework of the existing OECD Principles of Corporate Governance.

G8 Labour and Employment Ministers met in Dresden on 6-8 May 2007 to discuss the opportunities and challenges that globalisation brings with it for the working world. In referring to the contribution companies can make to shaping the social dimension of globalisation, the G8 Chair's conclusions strongly emphasised the role of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Human rights, alternative dispute resolution and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

Bovespa awards OECD for supporting Corporate Governance improvements in Brazil

OECD and the Latin American Roundtable on Corporate Governance were recognized as being among the five main institutional supporters of Bovespa's Novo Mercado in a ceremony on March 1, 2007 . Bovespa was celebrating the 100th company to join the special corporate governance listing segments of the trading board. OECD has been providing advice and support since the first Latin American Roundtable on Corporate Governance was held in Brazil in April 2000, the same year the Novo Mercado was launched.

OECD LEED Conference on “Perspectives on Strengthening Entrepreneurship in East Germany”, Berlin, Germany

First Meeting of the Task Force on Corporate Governance of Banks in Eurasia

The Eurasian Corporate Governance Roundtable established a task force to develop a policy options paper (“policy brief”) addressing corporate governance challenges shared by commercial banks in Eurasia. Based on some existing norms developed by the OECD or the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the policy brief is to be developed through active discussion within the Task Force that includes experts from Eurasian countries, OECD member countries and international organisations.  The Task Force has its meeting to discuss the draft policy brief in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 17 May 2007.
