At the Ministerial Meeting celebrating the OECD’s 50th Anniversary (25-26 May 2011), Ministers welcomed a new comprehensive approach to development across the OECD, which seeks to achieve higher, more inclusive, sustainable growth for the widest number of countries. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, chair of the OECD’s 2011 Ministerial Council Meeting, stressed in her summary that this would be accomplished by greater collaboration and knowledge sharing, as well as deepening partnerships between the Organisation and developing countries that want to engage.

En général, les économies d'Asie montrent leur robuste croissance au 2e trimestre 2011 selon les derniers indicateurs conjoncturels sur l'Asie (ICA). La Malaisie et la Thaïlande ont enregistré une croissance de leur cycle économique. Quelques signes de ralentissement apparaissent en Chine et en Inde. Faire face aux pressions inflationnistes reste le défi politique majeur de la région. (en anglais)

Selon le rapport Perspectives économiques en Afrique, dont l’édition 2011 a été lancée aujourd’hui, les pays africains devraient resserrer leurs liens transfrontaliers et renforcer leur intégration économique, afin de tirer pleinement les bénéfices des relations avec leurs partenaires traditionnels et les pays émergents, et ainsi favoriser leur croissance durable et inclusive.

La mise à jour des Principes directeurs a été présentée pour adoption lors de la réunion du Conseil au niveau ministériel en mai 2011. La mise à jour vise de faire en sorte que ces Principes conservent leur rôle d’instrument international essentiel pour promouvoir un comportement responsable des entreprises.
