The International Workshop on Documentary Standards for Measurement and Characterisation in Nanotechnologies was held 26-28 February 2008 at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg (USA), in co-ordination with ISO, IEC, NIST and the OECD. The participants discussed the development, efficacy, harmonisation and uptake of documentary standards broadly relevant to the field of measurement and characterisation for nanotechnologies. OECD Conference on Potential Environmental Benefits of Nanotechnology: Fostering Safe Innovation-Led Growth

The OECD Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN) and the OECD Working Party on Nanotechnology (WPN) are organizing the Conference on Potential Environmental Benefits of Nanotechnolgy: Fostering Safe Innovation-Led Growth on 15-17 July in 2009 at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France. The conference will cover both the opportunities and the challenges of the use of nanotechnologies for the potential benefits for the environment.
