Government officials from ASEAN countries and investment experts gathered to discuss various efforts to create a more attractive investment climate in Southeast Asia. The OECD’s investment instruments and peer review methods were presented and well received by participants as they can help advance their own agenda of investment policy reforms.

Organisé à Paris les 27-28 mars 2008, ce Forum mondial avait pour thème les meilleures pratiques permettant de promouvoir l'investissement au service du développement. Il a débuté par une table ronde ministérielle sur « L’économie politique de la réforme de la politique d’investissement » présidée par les secrétaires généraux de l’OCDE et de la CNUCED. Cet événement a rassemblé le réseau mondial de représentants des gouvernements, des entreprises, des syndicats, de la société civile, et d’autres organisations internationales responsables des défis de la politique d’investissement.
