Second meeting of Policy Dialogue on Corporate Governance in Beijing, China

The OECD and the Enterprise Research Institute of the Development Research Centre convened a high level meeting to exchange experience on corporate governance of state owned assets.  The OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises were presented for the first time after their official adoption by the OECD in April 2005.

Les commentaires reçus sur le projet de révision des Principes de gouvernement d'entreprise de l'OCDE ont été de l'ordre de 70 et émanaient aussi bien d'individus que d'organisations nationales et internationales, incluant le réseau international de gouvernement d'entreprise (ICGN), Standard and Poors, la Fédération Internationale de Comptables (IFAC), et autres. Cet appel fait suite à une demande des gouvernements des pays de l'OCDE qui, en réaction aux scandales ayant éclaté récemment dans le monde des affaires, ont souhaité renforcer ces Principes.

International Experts Meeting on Corporate Governance of Non-Listed Companies, Istanbul, Turkey

The OECD has “kicked-off” its work on corporate governance of non-listed companies convening policy-makers and business-people from 36 countries around the globe. Participants exchanged concrete experiences with different corporate governance approaches and discussed what policy-makers can do to facilitate and enable non-listed companies to improve corporate governance on a voluntary basis.

7th Meeting of the Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable

Company Leaders Launch Latin American Corporate Governance Initiative

The Latin American Roundtable on Corporate Governance launched, on May 10th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a new Companies Circle. This is an initiative led by companies who have adopted best practices of corporate governance. Its objectives are to bring together a group of Latin American companies who have adopted best corporate governance practices to provide private sector input into the work of the Roundtable; and to share with each other and the public their experiences putting the principles of good corporate governance into practice.

South East Europe Corporate Governance Roundtable held its 5th meeting in Ohrid, Macedonia
