Expert Consultations on forthcoming OECD-DAC report on "Armed Violence Reduction and Prevention"

On 4 and 5 September 2008, international expert consultations on the forthcoming OECD-DAC report on “Armed violence and conflict prevention” took place at the OECD in Paris. The report, which is expected to be released at the end of 2008, aims to highlight the interaction between armed violence and development, as well as to identify potential fields of action for AVR programming.

On Wednesday 3rd September the DAC Network on Conflict, Peace and Development Cooperation (CPDC) invited Mary B. Anderson to the OECD to lead a discussion on "The Policy-Practice Gap". 

OECD Security System Reform Train the Trainers course, 7-9 July 2008

With support from GTZ, INWENT hosted an OECD SSR train the trainers course in Bad Honnef (Germany) on 7-9 July 2008. The aim of the course was to provide OECD DAC members and other specialized organizations with the training skills and tools necessary to build SSR capacity at headquarters and in the field.

Evaluating Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding Activities:
