L’OCDE, l’Organisation mondiale du commerce et la Conférence des Nations unies sur le commerce et le développement appellent les chefs d’État et de gouvernement des pays du G20 à prendre des engagements plus fermes en faveur de l’ouverture des échanges et de l’investissement, au moment où s’amorce une reprise de l’économie mondiale suite à la crise.

L'Arrangement sur les crédits à l'exportation bénéficiant d'un soutien public de juillet 2009 est disponible; elle prend en compte - inter alia - les accords sectoriels révisés et nouvellement acceptés sur les crédits à l'exportation pour les centrales nucléaires et pour les énergies renouvelables et projets en eau. Elle est applicable à compter du 1er juillet 2009.

The 2nd OECD Southeast Asia Regional Forum considered a range of policy areas, one of which was investment policies. Government officials from ASEAN countries and investment experts gathered to discuss various efforts to create a more attractive investment climate in Southeast Asia. The OECD’s investment instruments and peer review methods were presented and well received by participants as they can help advance their own agenda of investment policy reforms.

The launch of the Working Group on Taxation of the South East Europe Investment Committee on 29-30 October 2008 in Vienna recognises the sovereignty of tax policy in the consideration of policy reform prioritisation in South East Europe. The working group specifically focuses on the tax component of the Investment Reform Index to provide a basis for identifying areas where the OECD may provide technical assistance.

OECD will release the 2008 Official Development Assistance figures at 14:00 (London time) on Monday 30 March. For the first time, the news conference will also address the outlook for aid in the future based on new OECD work on donor forward spending plans.

The OECD has released a new report – Managing Water for All: Pricing and Financing – at an event during the World Water Forum in Istanbul. Emphasising the economic, social and environmental benefits of investing in water and sanitation, the report includes information about the agricultural uses of water, financing water supply and sanitation, water pricing, private sector participation in the water sector and aid flows to water.

Gurría a souligné les conclusions de la réunion du G 20 où les responsables politiques ont appelé à une meilleure collaboration des organisations internationales pour qu’elles appuient leurs efforts concernant les politiques destinées à permettre de surmonter la crise et de remettre l’économie mondiale sur la voie d’une croissance durable.
