Conference on Integrated Strategies for Local Development: International Experiences, Ancona, Italy, 5 April 2004

This conference was organised by the Marche Region in partnership with the OECD LEED Programme. Visit of Latin American Leaders, Château de la Muette, 16 February 2004

The LEED Programme received a group of Latin American Leaders in the OECD Headquarters in Paris. This group came as part of the first European Cities Study Tour sponsored by the World Bank Institute. Some LEED Partners as well as French and European authorities took part in the discussions.

Cet évènement a examiné la façon dont l’entreprenariat social, le financement des PME, la formation et le tutorat des PME promeuvent l'entreprenariat dans les zones urbaines défavorisées. Capacity building seminar on “Building Development Strategies for Cities and Regions”, Trento, Italy

This 5-day capacity building seminar will focus on the local development strategy design and implementation and more specifically it will emphasize the role of strategy in integrating different drivers, factors and enablers of local economic development. This event will bring together 60 experienced policy makers and practitioners from Central, East and South East Europe working in the area of regional and local development strategy building.

Conference on "Local Economic Strategies for Equity and Growth: Building on Success - Glasgow's Future Prosperity", Glasgow

This conference discussed the findings of the expert study mission which took place in Glasgow last January and that will contribute to the new economic strategy of the City.  The event was organised in partnership with Scottish Enterprise Glasgow and Glasgow City Council.

Seminar on "What Future for Development Agencies?", London, UK

This seminar was jointly organised by the OECD LEED Programme and the Center for Public Policy Seminars (CPPS).  It looked at how development and successes of UK agencies fits with the global situation and examined the strenghts and weaknesses of the various development bodies in the UK.
