Undertaken jointly by the OECD Tourism Committee and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), this report analyses policies and issues related to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the tourism sector. It provides policy recommendations and identifies priority areas to be included in a framework for action in the area of climate change and tourism.

Tourism Trends & Policies 2010

Culture and tourism, a growing importance

“Increasing the Attractiveness of Places through Cultural Resources” is a study completed by the OECD Tourism Committee. The main documents and case studies have been summarised in the publication "The Impact of Culture on Tourism".

Two follow-up seminars disseminated and explored the outcomes: “Culture and Tourism: A Strategic Partnership” in Mexico; and “A New Design for Tourism: Culture, Tourism and Creative Industries; Driving Forces for Local Development” in Austria.
