PESTICIDES: OECD Issue Paper on Microbial Contaminant Limits for Microbial Pest Control Products

10-janv.-2012

The purpose of this Issue Paper that has been developed by the OECD BioPesticides Steering Group, is to highlight current international microbial contaminant criteria on food and drinking water and to encourage discussions among OECD member countries on the acceptable levels of microbial contamination in microbial pest control products. A compilation of methods available for screening microbial pest control products for the presence of pathogens and other micro-organism contaminants are referenced for guidance to regulatory authorities and applicants/notifiers alike.

PESTICIDES: Report of the Second OECD BioPesticides Steering Group Seminar on the Fate in the Environment of Microbial Control Agents and their Effects on Non-Target Organisms

10-janv.-2012

This report presents the results of an OECD Seminar (Paris, May 2010) on biopesticide issues related to the fate in the environment of microbial biological control agents (mBCAs) and their effects on non-target organisms (NTOs), an issue of interest to OECD member countries’ governments.  The objectives of the Seminar were manifold and sought to 1/ identify key issues & challenges, 2/ provide updates of national & international activities, and 3/ suggest options for OECD countries and key stakeholders in the area of the fate in the environment of mBCAs and their effects on NTOs.

PESTICIDES: Guidance Document on Crop Field Trials

30-sept.-2011

Crop Field Trials (also referred to as supervised field trials) are conducted to determine the magnitude of the pesticide residue in or on raw agricultural commodities, including feed items, and should be designed to reflect pesticide use patterns that lead to the highest possible residues. While the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals on Crop Field Trial (TG 509, in September 2009) provides a harmonized approach to conducting and reporting crop field trials in OECD countries, this Guidance Document will help in planning the trials in OECD countries and in interpreting the results.

PESTICIDES: Publication of the OECD Survey on Efficacy & Crop Safety Data Requirements & Guidelines for the Registration of Pesticide Minor Uses: Survey Results

05-juil.-2011

This document contains the report of a survey carried out in 2009 by the OECD Expert Group on Minor Uses (EGMU), a sub-group of the Working Group on Pesticides, on “Efficacy & Crop Safety Data Requirements & Guidelines for the Registration of Pesticide Minor Uses”. The aim of the survey was to provide an overview of regulatory requirements and mechanisms pertaining to minor uses in OECD member countries.

PESTICIDES: Publication of the OECD Survey on Regulatory Incentives for the Registration of Pesticide Minor Uses: Survey Results

05-juil.-2011

This document contains the report of a survey carried out in 2009 by the OECD Expert Group on Minor Uses (EGMU), a sub-group of the Working Group on Pesticides, on “Regulatory Incentives for the Registration of Pesticide Minor Uses”. The aim of the survey was to provide an overview of regulatory incentives available to enhance the registration of pesticide minor uses.

PESTICIDES: Guidance Document on Regulatory Incentives for the Registration of Pesticide Minor Uses

05-juil.-2011

This document provides guidance to national regulatory authorities in providing greater incentives to encourage applicants (manufacturers/registrants) to register agricultural pesticides (including both synthetically and naturally derived products) for minor uses.  This document is based upon the results of a survey conducted in 2009 by the OECD Expert Group on Minor Uses (EGMU), which detailed available incentives in OECD countries [see survey results in publication ENV/JM/MONO(2011)14].

PESTICIDES: Guidance Document on the Planning and Implementation of Joint Reviews of Pesticides

20-mai-2011

A joint review is an evaluation of a pesticide dossier through work-sharing among countries. The participating regulatory authorities review the work of the primary reviewers for each particular science discipline, and the end product is used by all participating countries as the basis for regulatory decisions. This guidance document was prepared to support joint reviews to maximize opportunities of work-sharing. This guidance document includes two main phases of a joint review, planning and implementation phases, to help industries and regulatory authorities conduct the joint review process.

PESTICIDES: Report of the OECD Seminar on Risk Reduction through Prevention,Detection and Control of the Illegal International Trade in Agricultural Pesticides

11-mars-2011

This report presents the results of an OECD Seminar (OECD, Paris, May 2010) that reviewed various key issues associated with risk reduction through prevention, detection and control of the illegal international trade in agricultural pesticides.  The seminar recommend the setting of an OECD network of experts and inspectors knowledgeable and active in fighting illegal trade of pesticides that could be used for rapid exchange of information on suspicious or rejected shipments.

PESTICIDES: Report of the OECD Seminar on Risk Reduction through Prevention,Detection and Control of the Illegal International Trade in Agricultural Pesticides

11-mars-2011

This report presents the results and recommendations of an OECD Seminar on risk reduction through prevention, detection and control of the illegal international trade in agricultural pesticides. This one-day Seminar, held on 19 May 2010, was chaired by Wolfgang Zornbach (Germany), Chairman of the OECD Risk Reduction Steering Group (RRSG), and took place at OECD, in Paris, France.
