Report of the OECD Pesticide Risk Reduction Steering Group Workshop "Pesticide User Compliance"

This report presents a summary of the discussions at, and the outcomes from, the OECD workshop on Pesticide User Compliance Issues. The workshop was held in Ottawa, from 6-8 June 2006 and was hosted by Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). The focus of the workshop was on issues and impediments to compliance associated with pesticide use. Such issues were addressed in the context of reducing risks to human health and the environment as well as risks to the integrity of the regulatory process.

Survey of the Pesticide Risk Reduction Steering Group on Minor Uses of Pesticides

In response to a questionnaire on minor uses fifteen countries and the European Commission responded. They include Australia, Canada, Estonia , European Commission, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Republic of Korea, Slovakia, Switzerland, UK, and the US.
The report is a collation of various aspects such as responsible regulatory authorities/agencies, data requirements, activities being pursued and regulatory mechanisms for approving minor uses in member countries.

eChemPortal est un portail internet qui permet un acces direct et gratuit à des informations sur les propriétés de substances chimiques (propriétés physico-chimiques, devenir et comportement dans l'environnment, écotoxicité, toxicité) ainsi qu'à des évaluations de dangers et de risques. Ce portail permet aux utilisateurs d'interroger simultanément de multiples banques de données, la plupart d'entre elles étant préparées pour des programmes gouvernementaux d'évaluation de substances chimiques.

This report presents the results of an OECD seminar on pesticide risk reduction through better application technology. This seminar was the fifth in a series of seminars on pesticide risk reduction organised by the OECD Pesticide Risk Reduction Steering Group, a sub-group of the OECD Working Group on Pesticides. The seminars focused on key issues in pesticide risk reduction of concern to OECD governments. The seminars were intended to provide an opportunity for discussin, learning and information sharing.

Joint Meeting Statement supporting SAICM
