The workshop will include presentations on models of performance-based funding used by governments, the indicators incorporated within such models, and the impacts and consequences of these systems on institutional performance and incentives.

The OECD’s Working Party on Research Institutions and Human Resources (RIHR) is holding a Workshop at the OECD Headquarters on 28 November 2011.
This workshop brings together subject experts and members of the RIHR Working Party to discuss the results of a RIHR policy questionnaire on current training arrangements for transferable skills and to “brainstorm” future policy directions.

In addition to being the 50th anniversary of the OECD, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of China’s first OECD observer status through its observership in the OECD Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy (CSTP). This anniversary roundtable will focus on three policy issues of common interest to China and OECD countries: governance of national innovation systems, management of public research, and demand-side policies for innovation.
