It includes a comparative analysis of the development of policies for the protection of Critical Information Infrastructures (CII) in Australia, Canada, Korea, Japan, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In his opening remarks at the Seoul Ministerial meeting, Angel Gurría reminded the audience that the Internet has already become a leading engine of economic growth, accounting for some 20% of OECD countries’ GDP. He added, however, that there are a number of “pressure points” and that policy-makers must act now, both to secure the Internet’s future and to help promote convergence, creativity and confidence.
