Ce débat est toujours d'actualité dans les pays de l'OCDE. Cet ouvrage examine les expériences de huits pays qui ont intégré des informations sur la performance à leur processus budgétaire au cours des dix dernières années : Australie, Canada, Corée, Danemark, États-Unis, Pays-Bas, Royaume-Uni, Suède.

La seconde version de l'enquête de l'OCDE sur les pratiques et procédures budgétaires a été entièrement restructurée. Cette base de données couvre l'intégralité du cycle budgétaire : préparation, approbation, exécution, comptabilité et audit et informations sur les performances. Elle a pour but d'offrir aux praticiens du budget et aux universitaires la possibilité de comparer et mettre en contraste les pratiques nationales en matière budgétaire et de partager les expériences et les meilleures pratiques.

The OECD Journal on Budgeting, Volume 6, Number 2 (2006) contains selected case studies and papers based on presentations at the annual CABRI budget reform seminars in 2004 and 2005. One of the aims of the Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative is to contribute to a common African resource base for African officials on public financial management in Africa. Co-operation between CABRI and the OECD network of Senior Budget Officials draws on contributions by the SBO at the CABRI seminars and through insights on how a senior budget officials network can operate.

A seminar on practical aspects of performance budgeting was organised by the OECD and the Mexican government in Mexico, 11-12 June 2008. Intended for Mexican officials in the Ministry of Finance and in line ministries, the seminar explored best practices and lessons learned with the implementation of performance budgeting in OECD countries. The seminar drew upon the OECD publication Performance Budgeting in OECD Countries and on the insights learned at an international conference on performance budgeting held in Mexico, 9-10 June 2008.

An international conference on performance budgeting was held in Mexico City on 9-10 June 2008. The conference allowed an exchange of ideas on practical aspects of performance budgeting, on the role of information in the process of assigning budgets, and on economic policy issues behind the implementation of performance budgeting. The conference was organised by the Mexican Ministry of Finance, the Mexican Center for Research and Teaching in Social Sciences, the OECD, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the UK Department for International Development.

Cette réunion a traité de l'évaluation du financement des politiques publiques conduites sous partenariat public-privé. L'évènement a été organisé conjointement par l'OCDE et le Secrétariat d'État aux finances et au budget, le Contrôle général de l'administration publique, le Secrétariat général au budget et aux dépenses publiques et la Direction générale des budgets de l'Espagne.

Jordan’s Legislative Strengthening Program (SUNY) and the Parliamentary Budget Office jointly organised a study visit to the OECD of Members of the Jordanian Parliament. At this occasion, Mr. Barry Anderson, Head of the Budgeting and Public Expenditures Division, OECD made a presentation on the experiences with legislative budget offices.
