Toutefois, au 30 juin 2009, le total des actifs des fonds de pension reste en retrait de 14% par rapport au niveau de décembre 2007, selon la dernière édition du Point sur le Marché des Pensions de l’OCDE.

The OECD and the World Bank today announced the preliminary results of their project evaluating the financial performance of pension funds around the world.

Resale Price Maintenance

The term "resale price maintenance" refers to a practice in which suppliers and resellers come to an understanding that places restrictions on the prices resellers may charge. There are several types of such agreements, the most common involves a supplier agreeing with retailers not to charge less than a certain price for the supplier's product.  RPM may harm consumers by restricting intrabrand price competition, but RPM may benefit consumers by promoting interbrand competition. Despite these mixed effects, most OECD countries treat RPM as a per se violation of their competition laws.

Angel Gurría, a déclaré que les nouvelles sources d’emploi et de croissance indispensables à une reprise soutenue de l’économie mondiale ne se concrétiseront que si les grandes économies de la planète mettent en place les politiques structurelles adéquates.

Asian Roundtable Task Force on Related Party Transactions

For the first time, Asian and OECD policy makers met to discuss concrete solutions to detecting and curbing abusive related party transactions – one of the most serious corporate governances failures. Participants focused on policy options, including assessing strengths and weaknesses of various regulatory approaches, tightening enforcement and facilitating a change in culture and practice, particularly in the boardroom.

OECD seminar on the payout phase of pensions, annuities and financial Markets

Representatives from OECD governments, academia and private sector discussed proposals to support private pension systems, and in particular, improve the management of risks in the retirement stage of individual account (defined contribution, DC) pension systems. Participants also discussed the impact of the financial crisis, and longer term issues affecting the sector such as increasing life expectancy.

High-level meeting on economic and governance policy reforms in Iraq

High-level representatives from the Government of Iraq and OECD-member countries met in Paris on 08-10 July 2008 to discuss Iraq's investment climate, anti-corruption policies and aid management -- three issues identified as priorities by Iraqi officials during prior meetings held under the framework of the International Compact with Iraq. The meeting was organised by the MENA-OECD Initiative on Governance and Investment for Development and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Iraq.
