According to industry and government officials at the OECD’s Steel Committee meeting in Paris on 8-9 June 2009, conditions for a recovery in demand could begin to be seen towards the end of the year.

Les maladies infectieuses et négligées font souffrir les familles, la société et l’économie, en particulier dans les pays en voie de développement. Selon l’Organisation mondiale de la santé, un milliard d’êtres humains souffriraient de ces maladies, contre lesquelles il existe peu de nouveaux outils thérapeutiques ou traitements. Le Forum de haut niveau de l’OCDE sur les maladies infectieuses négligées et émergentes examinera les moyens à mettre en œuvre pour améliorer la situation.
