Enterprise Financing Network Meeting, Dubai International Financial Center

Access to finance for enterprises, particularly at the early stages of development, is a key issue for the economic development of the Middle East and North Africa region. In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, access to finance remains one of the most prominent economic challenges for most enterprises and particularly for SMEs, which account for as much as 99% of companies. 
Responding to this urgency, the Enterprise Financing Network, a private sector initiative of the MENA-OECD Investment Programme, was launched in May 2006.

Steering Group Meeting

The MENA-OECD Investment Programme’s Steering Group met in Paris to take decisions on the assessment of the current phase of the Programme and develop recommendations for the next Programme phase following the October 2007 Ministerial meeting (MENA II, 2008-2010).

Second MENA-OECD Ministerial Meeting and Business Forum

Hosted by the Egyptian Chair of the MENA-OECD Investment Programme, represented by His Excellency Minister Mahmoud Mohieldin, in Cairo, Ministers took stock of achievements in investment climate reforms and regional co-operation, discussed remaining challenges and provided orientations for the way forward.
