It also contains the results of the High-Level OECD-ILO Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility which focused on employment and industrial relations.

This publication reports on steelmaking capacity on an economy-by-economy, plant or project basis and likely changes up to 2010. It includes detailed tables on existing capacity and equipment, the starting date of planned projects, works ownership and the information sources used. It also briefly describes projects' progress, recent changes at existing works, and, where known, the financing of projects.

During his second official visit to the People's Republic of China, Angel Gurría launched the Chinese language translation of OECD's investment policy review of China which looks at Chinese government efforts to encourage responsible business conduct against the backdrop of recent regulatory changes and China's increasing outward investment.

Evaluation, education, policies and trends, and sustainability make up the 2009-2010 OECD Tourism Committee's Programme of Work. The Tourism Committee has five priorities over the following two years: 1) a study on evaluation in the field of tourism; 2) a study on policies supporting tourism education and training; 3) a publication analysing tourism trends and policies in member and non-member countries; 4) a study on the integration of sustainability in tourism policies focusing on climate change; and 5) a review of the tourism policy of Italy.

OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría has welcomed the decision by G7 Finance Ministers to work towards setting up a set of common principles on integrity, transparency and propriety in global financial and business transactions.

The new edition of OECD Input-Output database is available and includes 4 new countries. It is a useful empirical tool for economic research and structural analysis at international level. It highlights inter-industrial relationships and when used in conjunction with other OECD databases such as STAN Industry, Bilateral Trade Database (BTD) and Business R&D Expenditures (ANBERD), it provides a tool for consistent economic analysis of growth, structural change, productivity, competitiveness and employment at the sectoral and macroeconomic levels.

This second meeting focused on the role of the board and the relations with stakeholders (two chapters of the OECD guidelines on corporate governance of state owned enterprises, namely the responsibilities of the boards and relations with stakeholders in chapters VI and IV).

This meeting focused on a review of the draft Implementation Guide for Accountability and Transparency in State Ownership.
