The OECD hosted a side event at the 28th Sessions of the subsidiary bodies to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (SB-28) in Bonn on June 10th. The theme was the "Economics of Adaptation and Mitigation", and it was organised in two parts: first, the launch of the new book "Economic Aspects of Adaptation to Climate Change: Costs, Benefits and Policy Instruments" ; the second half featured the OECD Environmental Oultook to 2030 and Cities and Climate Change: the case of global port cities. The first meeting of the Steering Group on Future Global Infrastructure Needs took place at OECD Headquarters on 3rd June 2005. It was organised by the OECD’s International Futures Programme (IFP), and brought together 25 high-level government officials and business executives involved in various infrastructure-related activities.
