A Policy Dialogue between OECD Members and non-Members "Aid for Trade: From Policy to Practice" took place in Doha, Qatar on 6 and 7 November 2006. This Policy Dialogue between OECD and non-OECD countries on Aid for Trade brought together a wide range of stakeholders from developing and developed countries to share experiences and information on how best to support developing countries' trade expansion and make it an engine of economic growth and poverty reduction. Government support to farmers in OECD countries totalled € 225 billion in 2005, representing 29% of farm receipts. The proportion is unchanged from the previous year and only marginally lower than the 30% reported in 2003, according to a new OECD study.

A just released report shows that a simultaneous reform involving a halving of trade protection and domestic support across all sectors could potentially generate USD 44 billion in welfare gains globally. Most of these gains arise from agricultural reform and most of these agricultural gains come from reform of market access measures.

OECD has recently completed a study on the treatment of agriculture in regional trade agreements, OECD Trade Policy Working Paper No 15.
In addition, work is under way examining the treatment in RTAs of investment, competition and the environment, as well as a study of the treatment of asymmetries at the regional level.

Rassemblant l’information disponible et sur la base d’hypothèses pour l’information non disponible sur les technologies de production, les coûts et les mesures politiques dans les plus gros pays producteurs de biocarburants, la présente étude décrit les caractéristiques économiques et politiques des marchés des biocarburants.
