Egypt signs the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises

On 11 July 2007, Egypt became the first Arab and first African country to sign the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises. This marks a new stage in Egypt's drive to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI). A series of policy reforms have helped to underpin a fifteen-fold increase in Egypt’s FDI between 2001 and 2006. FDI reached a record USD 9 billion in the first three quarters of its 2007 fiscal year. This compares with USD 6.1 billion for the whole of 2006.

2006 Survey on Monitoring the Paris Declaration - Country Chapters

34 countries that receive aid participated in a groundbreaking survey to measure the effectiveness of aid. Generally encouraging, the results show that developing countries and donors are working hard to made aid work better.

Survey of agencies' country-level activities

The OECD/DAC Network on Environment and Development Co-operation and the Poverty-Environment Partnership Network are tracking their members’ country-level activities related to environment and development. The main objectives of this survey are to provide an overview of “who is doing what and where”, and to facilitate collaboration between agencies. The Survey is updated regularly, and this version includes responses received by June 2007.
