The OECD Steering Group on Corporate Governance continues dialogue with alternative investors

On 16 April 2008, the OECD Steering Group on Corporate Governance invited representatives from the activist  hedge fund industry and other activist investors to discuss  potential policy issues including  their use of shareholders rights (such as board nomination), the impact of their activism on market abuses prevention, the scope for shareholder cooperation into the light of “acting in concert” regulations, as well as the use of derivatives instruments to boost investors’ voting power

7th Meeting of the Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable

The Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable met on 2-3 June in Moscow to define priorities for improving enforcement of corporate governance rules and corporate governance of state-owned assets. The synthesis note (English / Russian ) outlines the key impediments and reform options on enforcement and SOEs.

Russian task force on Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards met in Moscow

The second meeting of the Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable's ad hoc task force on "Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards" met in Moscow and focussed on the discussion of a draft report “Priorities for Transition to IFRS in Russia”.
