To avoid excessive regulation, a new publication calls for increased use of Regulatory Impact Assessment in the area of corporate governance and gives a number of examples of how the technique has been applied to promote more efficient policy. Asian Roundtable Task Force on Related Party Transactions

Participants focused on policy options, including assessing strengths and weaknesses of various regulatory approaches, tightening enforcement and facilitating a change in culture and practice, particularly in the boardroom.
