Glossary of Key Terms in Evaluation and Results Based Management: Arabic version

The DAC Glossary of Key Terms in Evaluation and Results Based Management has been published in Arabic, in collaboration with the evaluation departments of the African Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, and the DAC Evaluation Network. The glossary is now available in thirteen languages. It is expected that the glossary will facilitate and improve dialogue and understanding among those involved in development evaluation. It should serve as a valuable reference guide in practical development work as well as in evaluation training.

Draft Guidance on Evaluating Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding Activities

As growing shares of aid resources, time and energy are being devoted to preventing conflict and building peace, more evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of these activities is essential. To support lesson learning and improve impact, a draft guidance on evaluating these activities has been developed. During an application period all those interested are encouraged to use the guidance and provide feedback on experiences. Feedback will be a valuable input to the final product.

Evaluating the Implementation of the Paris Declaration

The overall purpose of the evaluation of the Paris Declaration is to assess the relevance and effectiveness of the Declaration and its contribution to development aid. The evaluation considers qualitative aspects, building on and complementing the quantitative information obtained through the monitoring of the Paris Declaration.

It reflects the evolution of development co-operation towards broader partnerships and, specifically, joint evaluations undertaken with the participation of developing country partners.
