International Comparison Programme - Results for 2005 at the level of GDP and main aggregates

The International Comparison Program (ICP) managed by the World Bank aims at measuring world-wide Purchasing Power Parities for the comparison of volume GDP and its main aggregates for the year 2005. The ICP brings together estimates of internationally comparable price levels and purchasing power from the Eurostat-OECD PPP Programme and the ICP regions. Data are now available for 146 countries for the year 2005. They  show, for example, that the United States, China, Japan, Germany and India account for nearly half of the world's GDP as measured by Purchasing Power Parities.

OECD releases new GDP and household consumption comparisons based on purchasing power parities

New benchmark comparisons based on purchasing power parities (PPPs) show the level of gross domestic product per head has risen closer to the OECD average in a number of countries including Turkey, Mexico, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.

New comparison of GDP and consumption based on purchasing power parities for the year 2005

The OECD, in partnership with Eurostat, ROSSTAT  and CISSTAT, has calculated benchmark purchasing power parities (PPPs) for GDP and consumption for the year 2005 for 55 countries following a common methodology. The calculation covers the 30 member countries of the OECD, the 27 member states of the European Union, ten CIS countries, six Western Balkan countries and Israel.
